VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Several drugs are off the street...and those are drugs police believe were heading to Vigo County students.

It's a story we've been following since February.

"We are thankful for the diligence of our local law enforcement in this situation. We have been cooperating with law enforcement over the past several days and are happy that they were able to make an arrest today."  Dr. Rob Haworth, Vigo County School Corporation

Gummies laced with Xanax were going up in numbers.

On Wednesday, police found guns, drugs, and more inside a Terre Haute home.

Now, several people are facing charges.

Police say they found material to make 25,000 doses of hallucinogenic drugs.

In total, four people were arrested.

Dyllon Ware, Maizie Rogers, and Levi Dowden each face 18 different charges.

Orville Anderson, Jr. faces charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, drug possession, and some other charges.

The Vigo County Drug Task Force has been investigating a spike in drugs popping up in the area.

Specifically, they've been noticing students overdosing on candies laced with Xanax.

On Wednesday, police got a warrant for an address they believed to be the source of several of those drugs.

That led them to a trailer on East Quinn Avenue in northern Vigo County.

That is where they arrested the four suspects.

During a search of the home, police said suspects tried to destroy some of the drug ingredients by flushing them down the toilet.

They say there was a laundry list of drugs in the home, including ecstasy, cocaine, and the Xanax laced gummies.

"Hopefully parents will sleep a little better knowing these drugs are off the streets and knowing that these specific drugs aren't going to be passed around," Ryan Adamson, from the Terre Haute Police Department, said.

Last month, a girl was arrested for giving Xanax laced gummies to another student at West Vigo Middle School.

A 14-year-old girl was arrested in that incident.

Police are not directly linking this drug with that arrest.

Police say they got tips that the four people they arrested knew the drugs in their possession were getting into the hands of Vigo County students.

During the search police say they found:

- almost 70 grams of ecstasy,
- six grams of cocaine
- 74 Clonazepam pills
- 94 grams of marijuana
- 28 grams of THC wax
- 690 grams of suspected Xanax laced gummies
- 15 pounds of K-2
-23 pounds of Mimosa Root Bark
- thousands of empty capsules
- five long guns,
- 13 handguns...two are suspected as stolen.

Ware, Downden, and Rogers were all charged with dealing, conspiracy to commit dealing, dealing in cocaine, dealing a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of cocaine, dealing in a look-a-like, conspiracy to commit dealing in a look-a-like, altering identifying marks on a handgun, dealing in marijuana, possession of a schedule II and IV controlled substance, theft of a firearm, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a look-a-like, and possession of marijuana.

Anderson was charged with possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, resisting law enforcement, possession of a Schedule 1 controlled substance, obstruction of justice, and visiting a common nuisance.
